The pathway to postgraduate IT studies

The information technology (IT) stream in our Postgraduate Enabling Program (PEP) provides a pathway into the Master of Information Technology at La Trobe University.

The PEP will enable you to develop the disciplinary knowledge and skills required to start a postgraduate course in IT. Upon completion, you will be able to analyse information, evaluate appropriate solutions, and communicate effectively and professionally.

Course structure

What you’ll be studying

Four subjects need to be completed in the PEP. To progress to a corresponding Master’s degree, you must pass each subject in your PEP course and achieve a minimum weighted average mark (WAM) of 50%.

  • Information Systems (CSP4IS)
  • Introduction to Cybersecurity and Cybersecurity Practice (CSP4ICB)
  • Programming Fundamentals (CSP4PF)
  • Information Technology Fundamentals (CSP4ITF)
