  • All other Diplomas Year 12 English (any)

* STPM/GCE A-levels (Malaysia, Singapore and the United Kingdom); Hong Kong A-levels. Based on the score of a minimum of three A-level subjects taken in one

academic year (an AS-level subject is considered half an A-Level). Scores calculated as follows for A-levels: A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2, E=1 Scores calculated as follows for

AS-levels: A=2.5, B=2, C=1.5, D=1, E=0.5 AS subjects continued to A-levels cannot be included in the calculation.

English requirements

If you do not have one of the above qualifications, you may still be able to enter a La Trobe College Australia diploma program if you have successfully completed at least one year of an eligible senior secondary or post-secondary program within the last two years. This program must be at a suitable academic level, with English as the language of instruction. For a list of eligible programs, contact admissions@latrobemelbourne.edu.au. You may also meet the English language requirement through undertaking an English language direct entry course.

*Students who wish to pathway from Foundation Studies to the Bachelor of Nursing will also need an overall IELTS score of 7.0 with no band less than 7.0 when progressing to the bachelor degree.

IELTS One Skill Retake

Please note that La Trobe College Australia also accepts IELTS One Skill Retake. If a student misses one band score they can retake the test for that skill within 60 days from the original test date. This saves time and money for the student and allows them to successfully pass the English hurdle in a shorter amount of time.
