Packing for your adventure

Don’t forget to bring the following with you

  • $500 in Australian Currency
  • $2,500 on a travel card
  • International prepaid sim card
  • Adaptors for electrical appliances. Australia’s electrical systems are 230 volts 50Hz.
  • Shorts/Skirts
  • T-shirts/Singlets
  • Dresses
  • Sweater/jumper
  • Umbrella
  • Comfortable shoes
  • Thongs (Flip Flops)
  • Swimwear
  • Sunscreen
  • Sunglasses
  • Hat
  • Warm jacket
  • Long trousers/jeans
  • Long sleeve shirts
  • Scarf
  • Hat
  • Moisturiser/lotion
  • Laptop and charger
  • Headphones
  • Hair appliances
  • Basic Toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, hair styling products, make up)
  • Spare glasses and contact lenses
  • Towel

  • Personal items such as jewellery, family gifts, books etc.

Important documents

You’ll need to keep these on hand for your arrival

  • Airline Tickets
  • Passport
  • Student Visa documents
  • OSHC documents
  • Travel Insurance documents
  • Certified copies of all relevant academic transcripts
  • Confirmation of Enrolment (COE or eCOE)
  • 2-4 passport sized photographs of you
  • ID cards
  • Medical Certificates, History or Reports
  • Medical, Optical or Dental prescriptions
  • Contact numbers and addresses of family and friends
  • Pictures of family and friends
  • Receipts of any important payments (insurance, flights, laptops, fees)

Important to note:

Make copies of all documents and keep them in a separate place for safety. Also, make sure you have English versions of all documents.
